Andalucia - A Great Place for an Autumn Break

We are getting to the end of summer in the UK and I, for one, would like to extend my days in the sun. Here's a Hub Pages article about where I went last year - a short flight for five nights in Mijas. I'm tempted to book a flight for my fourth visit.

The Alhambra Palace in Granada

We went on a day trip to the Alhambra Palace in Granada. It's worth paying for a guided tour. Spend a day here - and then go back for more.

The drive to Granada by coach or car provides an opportunity to experience the varied landscape of the region - mountains, olive groves, and miles and miles of farmland on the fertile plains.

    1. I love it in the hills - and out of season. I've visited four times now and long to go back. One year I stayed just outside Marbella over New Year and Trois Royames (12th night). Fantastic 12th night parade through the town - complete with three camels and the Wise Men. :)

  2. Ms Rix- I read the Hub Pages article and now have a new area which I would love to visit. I thought Portofino was breathtaking but the Andalucia area, particularly Nerja was beautiful. All the olives, made me salivate! Thank you for the lovely travelogue.
